2000 DCAA Awards Dinner to be held May 13
Last May, more than 100 old friends and colleagues gathered in Madison for the 1999 Alumni Awards Dinner to recognize eight of The Daily Cardinal's distinguished alumni.
As awards coordinator, I hope to repeat the success next year when the DCAA holds its second annual awards dinner May 13. I am asking you all to help build the event by nominating candidates for the next class of award recipients.
Please submit your nominees by Jan. 30 and include a brief description of the nominee's work both during and after the Cardinal.
Nominees are not restricted to former editorial staff members alone and awards may be given posthumously.
To broaden the selection process, I am also seeking six volunteers to help me screen and choose recipients. The committee will be responsible for reviewing nominees, compiling and writing short biographies and notifying award winners.
After screening the nominees, the committee will select winners by March 1 and then begin notifying recipients. Once award recipients have been contacted, we will proceed with ordering the physical awards for the May 13, 2000 dinner.
