Weitner elected new EIC

Sean Weitner has been involved with The Daily Cardinal since his matriculation at UW-Madison in fall 1995, and well remembers seeing the first post-shutdown edition of the paper on the racks. He has watched with admiration as each editorial team since put all of its energies into not only maintaining the strides in quality made by their predecessors but also bolstering them with their own innovation and bold strokes. This only makes him slightly nervous.

Sean started his Cardinal career as an illustrator and arts writer, two capacities in which he has continued to serve, and has also had news, opinion and feature bylines. He served as Graphics Editor for the Spring 1998 term, and has generally been impossible to get rid of.

Sean will enter his eighth semester of mechanical engineering education in the fall, which has more to do with being the editor in chief of a newspaper than you might expect.
