Cardinal Editor in Chief On Scene in London
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel interviews Cardinal EIC Emily Winter about the London terrorist attacks:
Emily Winter, 21, the editor in chief of The Daily Cardinal at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, raced to the scene as an intern for The Associated Press in London.
In an e-mail to the Journal Sentinel, Winter described interviewing a passenger from one of the bombed trains.
The man, covered in soot, said a red light flashed, and then the train dipped and stopped, Winter said.
"What was interesting to me is how calm everyone has remained," Winter said in the e-mail. "Several Wisconsin reporters have been interviewing me and seem to want me to describe the mass feel of panic, like on 9-11. But it wasn't like that at all."
